Three men working at a security depot see an opportunity for a multi-million pound robbery, and they take it. This is the focus for Inside Men, a four-part crime drama due to start on BBC One on Thursday 2 February 2012.
John (played by Steven Mackintosh) manages the cash counting house, Chris (played by Ashley Walters) is a security guard and Marcus (played by Warren Brown) is a forklift truck driver. These three everyday men find themselves crossing a line well out of their comfort zones when they decide to go for the robbery. The focus of the programme is how this leap will affect them as people.

Team Behind Inside Men
Inside Men was written by Tony Basgallop and produced by BBC Drama Production for BBC One. The BBC’s executive producer was Hilary Salmon and producer Colin Wratten. James Kent was the director.
The four hour-long episodes were filmed in Bristol and were commissioned by BBC One controller Danny Cohen and drama commissioner Ben Stephenson.
“Inside Men is the story of an old-school cash robbery but with the geezer element removed,” said Tony Basgallop in a BBC press release. “It's a study in what it takes for a modern man to step up, assert himself and have the courage to take something by force. How do you go from being a beta male to an alpha male, and what are the implications on your everyday life?"
